These terms govern access to and use of the WealthSchema planning-reference feed (the “Feed”) — the API, MCP tools, and datasets served under /api/reference that provide source-verified U.S. financial-planning parameters (for example retirement contribution limits, tax brackets, Social Security and Medicare figures, and RMD tables). They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference; if a term here conflicts with the Terms of Service with respect to the Feed, this page controls for the Feed.
The Feed is a distinct product from our synthetic datasets and the Synthetic Wealth Data Sets Master Corpus, which are governed by the Synthetic Wealth Data License, not this page.
1. Informational only — not advice
THE FEED IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL AND ENGINEERING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE TAX, LEGAL, ACCOUNTING, FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, OR FIDUCIARY ADVICE.
Values in the Feed are compiled from public U.S. government sources and are intended to help you build and test software. They are not a substitute for professional advice or for the primary source itself. Before relying on any value for a real decision, return, filing, or product, you must verify it against the cited primary source. You are solely responsible for determining whether a value is current, applicable, and suitable for your use.
2. Sources, accuracy, and corrections
Each value cites its primary U.S. government source (for example the IRS, SSA, CMS, HHS, U.S. Treasury, or a state department of revenue) and carries the tax year and a status flag (such as official_final, projected_pre_release, or needs_verification). We compile and curate these figures with care, but we do not warrant that the Feed is complete, error-free, or current at any given moment. Government figures change on published cadences and are occasionally corrected or restated.
We aim to reflect official figures promptly after publication and to retain prior values so point-in-time history stays available. If you believe a value is wrong or out of date, please tell us at support@wealthschema.com and we will review it against the cited source and correct it where warranted.
3. Public-domain data; what you are paying for
The underlying figures are facts published by U.S. government bodies and are not claimed by us as proprietary. What the Feed provides — and what a paid subscription pays for — is the curation, source citation, currency, versioning, structured delivery, and support around those figures, not exclusivity over the facts themselves. You are free to obtain the same figures from their primary sources.
4. Commercial use and redistribution by tier
Your rights depend on the tier of the API key used to access the Feed. Tiers and their machine-readable feature flags are published at /api/reference/v1; the rights below control in case of any ambiguity there.
- Free. Personal, internal evaluation, and non-commercial use only, subject to rate limits. If you display or publish values obtained from the Free tier, attribute them to WealthSchema and link to the cited primary source. No redistribution.
- Dev. Commercial use within a single product or service that you own and operate. No redistribution of the Feed as data, and no resale.
- Team. Commercial use as with Dev, across multiple environments, including point-in-time history and update webhooks. No redistribution as data.
- Embed / Business. Commercial use plus redistribution of Feed values within your own product to your end users, where the values are incorporated into your application’s functionality rather than offered as a competing data feed.
- Enterprise. Custom terms as set out in a separate written agreement.
Regardless of tier, you may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Feed as a standalone dataset or API, or build a product whose primary purpose is to redistribute the Feed in competition with us.
5. API keys, rate limits, and acceptable use
Access is authenticated with an API key (sent as Authorization: Bearer <key> or X-API-Key: <key>). Keep your keys confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your keys, and you can revoke and rotate them from your account dashboard. Each tier is subject to a per-minute rate limit; exceeding it returns an HTTP 429. You agree not to circumvent rate limits or authentication, share keys to evade tier limits, or use automated means to extract the Feed beyond your tier’s rights. We may throttle, suspend, or revoke keys to protect the integrity and availability of the Feed.
6. Availability, changes, and no warranty
The Feed may change as government sources publish new figures, and we may add, revise, deprecate, or remove datasets, fields, or tiers. We will use reasonable efforts to version such changes and to give notice of material, breaking changes by reasonable means.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE FEED AND ALL VALUES, OUTPUTS, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND COMPLETENESS. YOUR USE OF ANY VALUE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
The limitation of liability, indemnification, governing-law, and dispute- resolution provisions of our Terms of Service apply to the Feed and are incorporated here by reference.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Paid tiers are billed as recurring subscriptions through our payment processor. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and update payment details, from your account dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals and downgrades the associated key to the Free tier; fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law.
